Watchtower defiance against Hitler
by The Quiet One inwatchtower october 1, 2011 page 14 'did hitler receive letters of protest from church officials concerning the outrager perpetrated by the national socialists, or nazis?
there were some, but such letters were few and far between.
in the moscow archives, however, eberle found a file containing a number of letters sent to hitler by jehovah's witnesses..protesting against the conduct of the nazis.

Even the Bible doesn't say that the world is about to end..
by The Quiet One inhere are some scriptures that show that the world isn't about to end, even according to the bible!
i noticed most of these in my own reading, but this page brings them all together.
i don't believe in the coming system of things, though.. any comments welcome.. http://www.apocatastasis.net/prophecy/prophecy-system-of-things-.html.

The Trinity
by The Quiet One ini have a question, primarily for trinitarians, but anyone's more than welcome to comment.
what scriptural basis is there for believing in the trinity?
i can understand some having the view that jesus/jehovah both can be worshipped, and the view that jesus should be, but where in the bible is the holy spirit worshipped?

Interesting statistic
by The Quiet One injust looking at latest yearbook and noticed something about the worldwide report (2010)... only 19 countries/lands reported an increase of 10% or more, and only 3 of those had 1,000+ publishers in 2009 (still under 2000 publishers in those 3 lands..) .
any thoughts?.

untitled
by The Quiet One inparagraph 2: if we are to progress to christian maturity, we must learn to distinguish right from wrong and then make decisions that reflect our own convictions, not those of someone else.
(romans 12:1,2)(hebrews 5:14) paragraph 11: elders make decisions that affect the congregation.
however, they make sure that they "do not go beyond the things that are written" in god's word.
